Sales Director
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Sales Director to lead a high-performing sales team and drive revenue growth in a technical, project-based equipment market. The ideal candidate excels in sales strategy, team leadership, and complex solution selling, with a track record of exceeding targets and building strong customer relationships.
Sales Director Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing technical sales team.
- Build and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Drive new business growth while expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Manage full sales cycles, including complex technical proposals and contract negotiations.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities.
- Ensure effective use of Salesforce CRM and CPQ tools (e.g., PandaDoc).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and customer service teams.
- Provide accurate sales reporting, KPIs, and forecasts to leadership.
Sales Director Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of sales experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Background in industrial machinery, capital equipment, or manufacturing systems (food processing a plus).
- Strong technical acumen with experience in complex, project-based sales.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, CPQ tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel as needed and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
