Buyer Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- MUST BE willing to relocate to the New England area
- Minimum 5+ years of buying experience, including roles as Associate Buyer and Buyer (not Assistant Buyer).
- Progressive experience in merchandising or buying roles, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven expertise in vendor negotiations and relationship management.
- Strong understanding of market trends, pricing, and fashion to make strategic decisions that drive sales and improve gross margin.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Buyer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Negotiate favorable terms and build win-win vendor partnerships.
- Drive measurable outcomes and enhance business performance through strategic buying decisions.
- Assess complex issues and make timely, sound decisions to support product selection.
- Develop strategic relationships and networks to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate effectively across teams to influence and adapt to shared outcomes.
