A skilled litigation attorney is sought to join a leading automotive product liability and warranty litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, proactive litigator with strong writing skills, capable of independently managing discovery and assisting with trial preparation. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases for a diverse client base, including major manufacturers, insurers, and government entities.
Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and attend hearings and mediations.
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis; draft memoranda and case strategy recommendations.
- Review and analyze document productions in preparation for litigation.
- Prepare detailed client status reports and litigation updates.
- Manage all aspects of litigation from initial response through trial preparation and participation.
Litigation Attorney Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
- Active membership in the California Bar.
- 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in automotive, aviation, or product liability matters.
- Familiarity with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, preferred.
- Experience practicing in both State and Federal courts.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
