Controller | Hybrid — ~2 days onsite per week (flexible)
About the Role
We’re seeking a seasoned Controller to stabilize and lead a recently restructured accounting team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller will bring structure, accuracy, and steady leadership to a capable department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, mentoring staff, and partnering with finance leadership to strengthen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations: general ledger, month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of senior accounting and AP staff.
- Drive process improvements and continued optimization of the company’s ERP system (recently implemented).
- Partner with leadership on compensation-related accounting issues, distributions, and benefits administration.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- 3–5+ years in an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Oracle experience is strongly preferred).
- Comfortable with multi-entity accounting, accrual-based reporting, and process implementation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; steady under pressure.
