Ship Engineer – Land based – Seattle, WA

Ship Engineer Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range: $100,000 – $115,000, based on qualifications

Ship Engineer Requirements & Qualifications:
- Verifiable experience as a port engineer managing similar operations
- 10 years of experience as Chief Engineer or management of ship construction and repairs may substitute for some required port engineer experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of marine systems including diesel engines, AC generators, hydraulic systems, and marine electronics
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
- Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent crisis management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Passport and TWIC card required or in process; US Merchant Mariner License-Chief Engineer preferred but not required
- STCW Basic Safety Training, Crowd Management, and Fire Fighting Certification preferred but not required
Ship Engineer Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience in technical writing and contract negotiation
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to mentor and develop others
- Professional demeanor with effective communication skills across diverse cultural backgrounds
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in various environments, including physically demanding conditions
