Our client is seeking a talented Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their busy litigation practice in Collin County, Texas. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Texas state and federal courts handling commercial litigation, employment disputes, personal injury, and/or wrongful death matters. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to sharpen trial skills, contribute to high-stakes cases, and grow within a collaborative team environment.
Litigation Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials involving commercial, employment, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support litigation strategies.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and discovery production with minimal oversight.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to prepare for trial and hearings.
- Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Stay current with applicable laws and legal developments affecting ongoing matters.
Litigation Associate Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- At least 3 years of litigation experience, ideally including commercial, employment, personal injury, or wrongful death defense.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and case management skills.
- Confidence and readiness to appear in court and handle litigation independently.
