Software Engineer
Location: Remote within driving distance of Columbia, St. Louis, Kansas City, or Springfield, MO (Hybrid flexibility)
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $70,000 – $105,000 (based on experience and skill set)

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of this mission—creating front-end and back-end solutions that help service members achieve the dream of homeownership while advancing our business goals in the mortgage and real estate space.
We’re seeking a developer with an AI-first mindset, strong coding skills, and a passion for building software that matters. In this role, you’ll deliver reliable, scalable applications while driving innovation through AI and automation. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional in-office collaboration for those energizing brainstorming sessions and “aha!” moments.
What You’ll Do
- Build and deliver functional, reliable software using .NET, C#, Angular, TypeScript, and SQL/MongoDB in an Agile environment.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design, Clean Code principles, and OOP to create maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with teammates through planning sessions, retrospectives, and open communication.
- Translate requirements into effective business logic in partnership with Architects and Product Owners.
- Champion engineering standards around security, reliability, and stability, ensuring borrower data is handled responsibly.
- Explore and apply AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture—pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks).
What You Bring
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline management tools.
- Proficiency in Web APIs and microservice architecture.
- Hands-on work with C#, .NET, TypeScript, Angular, SQL Server, MongoDB (or related technologies).
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants like Windsurf, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Cursor.
- Preference for Agile product delivery and experience with Git, Change Management, and application lifecycle tools.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to influence without formal authority.
