Our grocery client is looking for a hands-on POS/IT Technician to support our store operations during a 6–8 month contract. This is a great opportunity to work with a community-focused, values-driven organization while keeping their retail technology running smoothly.
POS/IT Technician Benefits and Compensation
- Hourly pay in the range of $25–$30/hr, depending on experience
- Flexible weekday schedule (Monday–Friday)

POS/IT Technician Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience with POS systems (Catapult preferred, but open to other platforms such as NCR, Micros, Toast, Revel, Lightspeed, etc.)
- 2+ years of IT support experience (end-user support, system configuration, troubleshooting)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Available for onsite work in Sacramento, CA
POS/IT Technician Must Haves
- Provide front-line POS and end-user support for registers, membership systems, and store staff
- Perform POS configuration and updates, including register management and security setup
- Partner with external vendors (POS provider and other tech partners) to resolve escalated issues
- Handle basic backend administration (user access, updates, system monitoring)
- Assist with hardware setup (registers, handhelds, printers) and maintain system reliability for daily store operations
POS/IT Technician Preferred Background & Skills
- Direct experience with ECRS Catapult POS
- Retail or grocery store IT support experience
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Server, and networking basics
- Experience coordinating with multiple vendors and service providers
- Ability to train staff with varying levels of technical expertise
- Interest or experience in natural foods, co-ops, or mission-driven organizations
