We are seeking a mission-driven Senior Loan Officer with a strong background in underwriting to support and grow small business lending efforts in historically underserved communities across Boston. Senior Loan Officer Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of direct lending experience, with demonstrated skill in underwriting and credit analysis.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of generating and converting quality leads.
- Strong analytical abilities in reviewing financials, cash flows, and forecasts. Able to explain financial concepts in an accessible way.
- Passionate about expanding access to capital for underserved communities.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with cultural competency to engage diverse audiences.
- Comfortable leading a team, coaching others, and contributing to shared goals.
- Independent, organized, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficient with loan origination systems, CRM tools, and modern digital platforms.
Senior Loan Officer Required Qualifications
- Required experience in community development finance institutions or working with CDFIs.
- Proven track record of proactively generating and converting quality loan pipeline through business development activities
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on underwriting experience with demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring
- Familiarity with Boston’s small business ecosystem.
- Fluency in languages such as Haitian Kreyol, Cape Verdean Kriol, Spanish, Patois, or other community dialects is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of digital outreach and social media tools is a plus.
