Luxury Hotel Director of Finance Job Duties
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic financial planning
- Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and audits
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Manage capital expenditures and asset management
- Monitor and optimize hotel profitability and cost control measures
- Provide financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare timely reports for ownership and stakeholders
- Lead and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Participate in executive committee meetings and contribute to overall hotel strategy
Luxury Hotel Director of Finance Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Director of Finance or equivalent in a luxury hotel/resort environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred
- Strong knowledge of hospitality financial systems and reporting standards
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a multi-departmental setting
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Excel, accounting platforms)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage complex financial operations with precision and integrity
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence strategic outcomes
