Staff/Senior Auditor | Public Accounting | Franklin, TN | Hybrid
A growing, people-first public accounting firm in Franklin, TN is seeking a Staff or Senior Auditor to join their collaborative team. This firm specializes in audit, tax, and outsourced CFO services for nonprofits, construction, and privately held businesses across the Southeast. Key Responsibilities:
· Lead or support financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations in accordance with GAAS
· Conduct fieldwork and substantive testing, particularly in nonprofit and construction sectors
· Analyze financials under U.S. GAAP and evaluate internal controls
· Draft audit reports and footnote disclosures
· Communicate directly with client stakeholders and boards
· Mentor junior auditors (senior level)
· Collaborate with tax and CFO advisory teams to deliver integrated client service
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s in Accounting (Master’s or MACC preferred)
· CPA or actively working toward licensure
· 2–4+ years of public accounting audit experience
· Proficiency in GAAP/GAAS and audit software (e.g., CCH, CaseWare)
· Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements
Preferred Experience:
· Background in nonprofit or construction audits
· Experience in small to mid-sized, fast-paced firm environments
· Self-starter who thrives without micromanagement
Compensation & Benefits:
· CPA exam support and CPE reimbursement
· Health, dental, and vision insurance
· PTO: 2 weeks + 11 holidays; 3 weeks after year 1
· Must be local to the Franklin, TN/Nashville, TN area but candidates can work remotely when not on engagements or needed in the office
