General Manager Benefits & Compensation

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Proven ability to oversee $15M+ in annual revenue
- Strong P&L and financial management experience
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing FOH teams
- Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Track record of building positive workplace culture and high retention
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
General Manager Must Haves
- Experience leading opening operations of a new restaurant
- Ability to oversee and develop FOH systems including scheduling, payroll, and onboarding
- Hands-on presence during service, table touching, and guest engagement
- Oversight of daily pre-shift meetings and team development
- Vendor management, inventory, and cost control ownership
- Collaboration with BOH leadership to maintain high culinary and service standards
- Work cross-functionally with admin, HR, marketing, IT, and purchasing teams
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience managing multiple service styles, including private events, patio dining, and full bar service
- Prior exposure to administrative tasks related to FF&E, OS&E, and compliance
- Familiarity with advanced POS and scheduling systems
- Proven marketing and promotions experience to drive sales
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to guest ambiance
