Director of Rooms – Hawaii

Join a world-renowned 5-star luxury resort in Hawaii where exceptional service meets breathtaking island surroundings. We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Rooms to lead and elevate all aspects of rooms division operations—including front office, bell, concierge, valet, spa, and residential—at a property known for Forbes and AAA excellence.

Director of Rooms Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $160,000 – $170,000

• Target bonus: 25%

Director of Rooms Key Responsibilities:

Lead all rooms operations, including front desk, concierge, bell, valet, spa, and residential services

• Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence across all touchpoints

• Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and KPIs with strong financial oversight

• Foster a positive culture of accountability, mentorship, and professional development

• Collaborate closely with ownership, aligning strategic goals and service expectations

• Ensure operational excellence in a high-touch, luxury environment

Director of Rooms Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years as Director of Rooms in a luxury resort (Forbes or AAA)

• Proven experience leading spa, residential, and full rooms division operations

• Strong business and financial acumen; experience with budget oversight and cost controls

• Skilled at building and mentoring high-performance guest-facing teams

• Experience with property management systems (PMS), budgeting tools, and reporting systems

• Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and guest recovery skills

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Director of Rooms Preferred Background:

Experience in a five-star, five-diamond resort setting

• Familiarity with Forbes service standards

• History of working with ownership groups and asset management teams
