A respected philanthropic organization in Greater Miami is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to strengthen its connections with the local nonprofit sector and support strategic grantmaking and capacity-building efforts. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with community-based organizations, help design and manage grant programs, and elevate visibility for initiatives that drive equity and access across the region.
Community Engagement Manager Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in the nonprofit, philanthropic, or public sector, ideally within the Miami area
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/life experience
- Strong knowledge of local community needs and demonstrated leadership in addressing them
- Existing relationships with nonprofits and stakeholders in Greater Miami
- Experience with program development, grant management, and partnership building
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Asana, CRM systems, and other project management tools
- Commitment to equity and inclusion; multilingual skills a plus
Community Engagement Manager Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations across Miami
- Serve as a primary point of contact for grant applicants and community partners
- Design and manage grant programs from launch to completion
- Represent the organization at local events and community gatherings
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide strategic recommendations to donors
- Conduct research on community issues and nonprofit effectiveness
- Support learning, evaluation, and impact-sharing efforts across the organization
