Seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team in Albuquerque. This role supports complex projects across laboratories, healthcare, manufacturing, educational, commercial, and government facilities.
The ideal candidate will lead mechanical design from concept through construction administration, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior engineers while delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design from conceptual planning through construction administration
- Coordinate with internal and external project teams
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and design practices
- Conduct site visits and evaluate mechanical systems and equipment
- Design and develop projects within a BIM environment
- Review and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in a consulting or design-build environment
- Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer
- Strong knowledge of building, mechanical, plumbing, fire, energy, fuel gas codes, NFPA standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software
- Experience in healthcare, labs, commercial, education, and government projects preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (government projects)
