We are seeking an experienced Head of Growth to join an established, highly specialized digital media agency serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industries.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role responsible for owning net-new business development from prospecting through close. The ideal candidate is a true hunter with strong pharma/healthcare relationships, deep media knowledge, and the ability to build a predictable pipeline while telling a compelling, consultative sales story.
Head of Growth Responsibilities
- Own and execute the new-business growth strategy
- Prospect, develop, and close net-new pharma and healthcare clients
- Build relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, biopharma companies, and healthcare agency partners
- Develop and maintain a strong qualified pipeline and accurate sales forecasts
- Lead pitches, presentations, negotiations, and deal strategy
- Partner with internal media and analytics teams to create tailored client solutions
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings
- Help refine market positioning, sales messaging, and growth materials
Head of Growth Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful business development or growth experience within pharma, healthcare, life sciences, or healthcare advertising/media
- Proven track record of personally originating and closing net-new business
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and the healthcare agency ecosystem
- Working knowledge of paid media, including programmatic, search, social, endemic media, CTV, HCP, and patient/DTC channels
- Strong consultative selling, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Experience managing complex, relationship-driven sales cycles
- Strong CRM and pipeline-management discipline
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working independently
Head of Growth Compensation & Location
- Base Salary: $125,000–$150,000 plus uncapped commission
- This role is approximately 80% remote with regular access to New York City required for team meetings, client meetings, conferences, and industry events. Candidates based in the New York Tri-State area are strongly preferred.
