We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for a high-volume, multi-level restaurant and entertainment venue in Nashville. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting daily operations across food, beverage, service, entertainment, and events.
The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who can develop teams, maintain high operating standards, support financial performance, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities
- Support daily food, beverage, and bar operations with a strong presence during peak business periods.
- Lead service execution and maintain high standards for hospitality and guest experience.
- Participate in hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
- Support financial performance, including sales, labor, food and beverage costs, inventory, budgets, and profitability.
- Monitor operating results and help implement improvements.
- Maintain standards across service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and facility presentation.
- Support inventory controls, purchasing, vendor relationships, and cost management.
- Coordinate effectively with culinary, events, entertainment, nightlife, security, and other venue leaders.
- Partner with events and sales teams to support successful execution of private events and special functions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, workplace safety, and applicable regulations.
- Support the development of a strong, accountable management team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of high-volume restaurant management experience.
- Proven leadership experience within a significant food and beverage operation.
- Strong food, beverage, and bar operational knowledge.
- Solid understanding of financial performance, labor, cost controls, inventory, and profitability.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and develop teams.
- Strong floor presence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication, judgment, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with high-volume bars, live entertainment, nightlife, private events, or similarly complex hospitality environments strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Food safety and responsible alcohol-service certification.
