Chef De Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Chef
- Proven background in upscale, scratch kitchen environments
- Food Manager Certification required
- Experience working in full-service, moderate to high-volume restaurants
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Passion for developing people and fostering a positive team culture
- Sales-driven mindset with a focus on cost control and quality improvement
- Adaptable and energized by working in a dynamic, growth-oriented setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Chef De Cuisine Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring execution of the coastal seafood and oyster bar concept with high standards
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team, managing schedules and performance
- Oversee inventory, food safety, proper storage, and adherence to FIFO principles
- Maintain recipe accuracy, portion control, and cost awareness while ensuring allergy and dietary accommodations
- Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience and build brand loyalty
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, reduce food costs, and increase operational efficiency
