Staff Accountant Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Solid grasp of GAAP principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
Staff Accountant (entry to mid-level)
- Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with accounting concepts and financial reporting
Staff Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure proper documentation across multiple companies
- Perform reconciliations for P&L, balance sheet, bank accounts, and fixed assets
- Execute month-end close procedures and support audits and financial reporting
- Prepare various financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making
- For Senior level: lead complex problem-solving, oversee integrations and acquisitions, strengthen internal controls, and provide technical guidance to the accounting team
