Supervisor / UT / MPI Requirements & Qualifications
- Level II certified UT inspector
- Qualified to perform dry MPI inspections
- Experience in a manufacturing, saw, machine shop, material handling, inspection, or similar production environment
- Ability to lead teams, assign and prioritize work, and ensure daily production requirements are met
- Strong understanding of work orders, specifications, measurements, and production documentation
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and workplace organization
- Effective communicator with diverse teams across production, quality, and support departments
Supervisor / UT / MPI Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous supervisory, lead, or coordinator experience, especially in production settings
- Familiarity with saw operations, milling equipment, mold die steel, heavy material handling, and production records
- Experience managing material movement, setting production priorities, and facilitating cross-department workflows
Supervisor / UT / MPI Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and direct employees in saw and milling operations
- Supervise cutting and milling of mold die steel for both stock and customer orders
- Perform ultrasonic (UT) and dry magnetic particle (MPI) inspections per company and customer requirements
- Set work priorities, assign daily tasks, and adjust to meet production schedules
- Verify material identification, measurements, inspection results, and documentation
- Ensure completion and smooth transition of work to subsequent departments
- Reinforce safety and quality standards, coach employees, and conduct safety meetings
- Communicate production, equipment, and quality concerns to relevant teams
- Maintain accurate records and uphold housekeeping standards in all areas
