Assistant Project Manager – South Hampton, NH

Assistant Project Manager Benefits & Compensation

Assistant Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, coordination, or assistant project management within heavy civil, excavation, utilities, site development, or related construction
- Working knowledge of civil construction plans, specifications, and documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related project management software; Procore experience is a plus
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable collaborating with both office and field teams
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local project sites as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Assistant Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience specifically in road construction, utility installation, or sitework for commercial, municipal, or residential projects
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms
Assistant Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support project managers in planning and executing heavy civil and site development projects
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements to ensure compliance
- Prepare and track essential project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders
- Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management tasks
- Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors, vendors, and field resources
- Communicate regularly with superintendents, foremen, and stakeholders regarding project status, progress, and challenges
- Track project milestones, outstanding items, and closeout documentation
- Help identify and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Maintain organized and accurate project records
