Seeking an experienced Senior HR Operations Leader to lead the people strategy for a prestigious luxury hospitality property. This highly visible leadership position will oversee all areas of human resources while partnering closely with executive leadership and department heads.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization’s overall human resources strategy and daily operations
- Oversee compensation, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance
- Coach department leaders on employee matters, leadership practices, and team performance
- Develop strategies to improve recruitment, retention, engagement, and workplace culture
- Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and disputes
- Review and maintain HR policies in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational goals
- Analyze HR metrics, employee feedback, turnover trends, and exit interview data
- Manage the HR department budget and supervise two team members
- Lead professional development, recognition, and leadership-development initiatives
- Serve as a visible and approachable resource for employees at all levels
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or a related field
- At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership at an exempt or management level
- Broad knowledge of employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, talent acquisition, and training
- Experience handling complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Knowledge of Virginia employment laws and regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills
- Ability to work on-site and maintain a visible presence throughout the property
- Luxury hospitality, resort, hotel, private club, or other high-touch service experience strongly preferred
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
