Director of Operations & Business Development Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum demonstrated experience in home care and/or home health
- Proven ability to acquire and retain private pay clients
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently
- Unwavering reliability, ethics, and trustworthiness
- Comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
Director of Operations & Business Development Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with Medi-Cal billing, enrollment, or patient acquisition for home health
- Familiarity with eCaring, Gusto, and QuickBooks
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Background in staffing, operations management, or hybrid sales/operations roles within healthcare
Director of Operations & Business Development Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring compliance and organizational excellence
- Utilize agency software for scheduling, documentation, and business processes
- Coordinate caregiver scheduling and provide coverage support as needed
- Build and implement operational systems to support client growth and team expansion
- Train and mentor future team members as the agency grows
- Conduct field marketing to establish referral relationships and acquire new private pay clients
- Lead the launch and development of the Medi-Cal home health program
- Track, report, and analyze business development activities and outcomes
