Commercial Lines Account Manager – Laredo, TX

Commercial Lines Account Manager Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary ($65K–$70K) plus ongoing commission (3% on new business, 1% on renewals)

Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial insurance experience (independent agency background preferred)
- Active Property & Casualty license (will consider candidates who can obtain one promptly)
- Expertise in commercial property & casualty insurance, especially small business accounts
- Strong communication, client service, and organizational skills
- Experience handling transportation, trucking, and E&S business is a plus
- Familiarity with agency management systems (Applied Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
Commercial Lines Account Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Experience with multi-carrier placement and small commercial business
- Proactive, organized, and client-focused mindset
Commercial Lines Account Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and support a dedicated book of commercial insurance accounts
- Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates, billing inquiries, and general client needs
- Review customer exposures and recommend appropriate coverage
- Work directly with carriers, wholesalers, and underwriters to secure competitive insurance solutions
- Identify retention, cross-sell, and account growth opportunities
- Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
- Build and nurture relationships with both clients and carrier partners
