Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in construction project management with ground-up commercial or multifamily projects
- Experience working as a general contractor or owner-builder is required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
- Strong experience with budgets, procurement, scheduling, and project documentation
- Ability to manage client communication, subcontractors, and internal teams
Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a proactive mindset
- Experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously
- Background in tenant improvement or historic renovation work is a plus
- Deep knowledge of construction schedules, city permitting, and cost control
Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, owners, and city officials
- Write and execute scopes, contracts, change orders, and risk documentation
- Maintain project schedules and ensure timely procurement of materials
- Lead meetings, track RFIs and submittals, and resolve jobsite issues in real time
