HACCP Supervisor Opportunity!
Our client, a well-established meat processing and food manufacturing operation, is seeking an HACCP Supervisor to oversee and support the implementation, verification, and continuous improvement of HACCP and food safety programs within a USDA-regulated manufacturing facility.

Requirements & Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily implementation and verification of HACCP programs within a USDA-regulated meat processing facility
- Lead, coach, train, and support HACCP Technicians, Quality Technicians, and food safety team members
- Ensure compliance with USDA-FSIS regulations, HACCP plans, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation programs, and customer requirements
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs), Critical Limits, and other food safety control measures
- Review HACCP monitoring records and ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant
- Investigate HACCP deviations, food safety concerns, and regulatory issues
- Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions to address nonconformances and prevent recurrence
- Conduct routine production floor inspections and food safety verification activities
- Oversee product holds, corrective actions, product disposition, and release procedures when applicable
- Monitor sanitation practices, pre-operational inspections, and SSOP compliance
- Support environmental monitoring and food safety verification programs
- Maintain audit readiness and assist with USDA, customer, and third-party audits
- Review food safety data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to HACCP and food safety programs
- Partner with Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve food safety and production-related concerns
- Conduct HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and food safety training for production employees
- Promote a strong food safety culture and reinforce compliance throughout the facility
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and timely completion of all HACCP and regulatory documentation
- Communicate HACCP findings, food safety risks, corrective actions, and compliance concerns to FSQA leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Meat Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred
- HACCP Certification, SQF Practitioner, PCQI, or similar food safety credentials preferred
- Experience working in BRC-, SQF-, or other GFSI-certified facilities
- Previous experience with Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing initiatives is a plus
