About the Role
Business Development or 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our team in the NYC Metro/NJ market. This role can be shaped around your strengths: focus purely on business development and new account acquisition, run a full 360 desk (sales + delivery), or land somewhere in between — you set your own path based on what drives results.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new business across target verticals (Legal & Compliance, Finance & Accounting, Insurance, Manufacturing, Fashion, Creative & Digital, and others)
- Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and their direct reports at client organizations
- For those running a full desk: manage the complete recruitment lifecycle — sourcing, screening, and placing candidates — in addition to business development
- Expand existing accounts through account-based selling, cross-selling, and up-selling
- Stay current on market trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring activity to advise clients and identify opportunities
- Collaborate with recruiting/delivery teams to ensure high-quality, timely placements
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking
Qualifications
- Proven track record selling staffing/recruiting services in the NYC Metro/NJ market (or a comparable market)
- "Hunter" mentality — self-driven, entrepreneurial, and motivated by uncapped commission
- Experience with full-cycle (360) recruitment a plus, but not required for BD-focused candidates
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Established network of client and/or candidate relationships preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like, entrepreneurial culture
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: 80k-120k
