National Sales Manager – Building Chemistry
A leading specialty materials manufacturer seeks a driven National Sales Manager to build on its strong market presence and drive continued growth. This is a unique opportunity to lead a small team and make a significant impact across key industries, including construction, industrial applications, and agriculture. This position requires a relocation to the Kalamazoo area.

National Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline or Engineering
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Consistent success in sales and sales management roles
- Track record of direct sales to key accounts.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent business English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license and passport ( minimal interantional travel)
- Ability to travel (30%–50%, including some overnights)
National Sales Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience representing products such as cellulose, cotton, wood fibers, or similar specialty materials
- Background collaborating with laboratory and international teams
- Familiarity with SAP or similar CRM/ERP systems
National Sales Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and maximize performance to achieve revenue, volume, and margin goals
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing and new business partners
- Develop and execute annual sales and growth plans, including budgets and forecasts
- Support new product development by collaborating with R&D teams in the US and Germany
- Represent the company and present technologies at industry trade shows and events
- Generate price quotations, document customer and market information, and report sales activities
- Develop new customer leads and form strategic partnerships across multiple channels
- Regularly interact with customers, distributors, and global company offices
