Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of Executive Chef or Banquet Chef with wedding experience
- Proven ability to work small and large events
- Strong culinary training, either formal or informal
- Demonstrated success in fostering a positive, family-style atmosphere while upholding high operational standards
- Passion for training and coaching culinary staff
- Experience with menu design and recipe costing
- Independent, self-motivated, creative, and equipped with strong communication skills
Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse culinary team to deliver memorable guest experiences
- Oversee daily kitchen operations with an emphasis on consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Design seasonal menus and manage recipe costing to ensure profitability
- Create an inclusive, supportive team culture aligned with organizational values
- Support and execute banquet and catering functions at a high standard
- Maintain compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
