Banquet & Wedding Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of banquet, wedding, or private event sales experience within hotels, catering venues, country clubs, or upscale restaurants
- Proven history of consistently achieving or exceeding banquet sales and revenue goals
- Strong experience using Tripleseat or similar event management software
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills with both clients and vendors
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and attend scheduled events
Must Haves
- Manage the complete wedding and event sales cycle from initial inquiry through final event execution
- Create proposals, contracts, payment schedules, BEOs, and client communications while maintaining complete accuracy
- Conduct venue tours, networking events, bridal expos, and client meetings to generate new business opportunities
- Coordinate final event details with clients, vendors, culinary, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
- Attend weddings and high-value social events to oversee setup, guest experience, and successful event delivery
Banquet & Wedding Sales Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience selling luxury weddings, high-end social events, or upscale private dining experiences
- Established relationships within the local wedding and event planning community
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close premium events
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to generate qualified leads and increase event bookings
- Passion for hospitality with a polished, energetic, and client-focused personality
