Restaurant Floor Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Four-year bachelor’s degree (any major) or two-year culinary associate’s degree required
- 1–2 years of restaurant experience with supervisory exposure preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of food safety and customer service principles
- Must be able to with the company's drug free environment policies
Restaurant Floor Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant environment (lead server, supervisor, or assistant manager)
- Experience in high-volume, elevated dining operations
- Strong problem-solving and team-building abilities
- Experience with staff scheduling and performance evaluation
- Passion for providing outstanding guest experiences
Restaurant Floor Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee dining room operations to ensure smooth service and memorable guest experiences
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to uphold company standards
- Monitor workflow and collaborate to address service issues quickly
- Support the development and evaluation of front-of-house staff
- Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and organizational policies
- Foster a welcoming, positive atmosphere for both guests and staff
