Director of Business Development – Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $85K–$100K (flexible depending on experience)
- Commission: 5% of net revenue on own deals
- Commission: 3% on deals passed to sales team
- Override: 1% on all team sales
- Potential for total compensation above $20K/month for top performers

Director of Business Development – Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Build and execute a sales strategy to diversify revenue beyond the company’s top account
- Develop a strong sales pipeline and generate one-off jobs quickly
- Identify, target, and close new business opportunities, especially in fleet maintenance/repair
- Oversee and potentially restructure the existing sales team (2 reps)
- Drive expansion in key Texas markets (DFW and Houston) and support national growth over time
- Conduct market research and competitive pricing analysis to inform strategy
- Build relationships with decision-makers and navigate gatekeepers
- Track and report sales performance and opportunities to leadership
Director of Business Development – Qualifications
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality; proven ability to close net-new business
- Industry experience in fleet maintenance/repair preferred
- Existing relationships in fleet, truck, or equipment sectors strongly desired
- Strategic thinker capable of creating and executing go-to-market plans
- Comfortable managing and mentoring a small sales team
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance pain points and pricing strategies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
