An established hospitality group is seeking a Director of Facilities to guide the maintenance and operational excellence of its premier resort, including a large-scale central laundry operation. Director of Facilities Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities management, ideally in a hospitality or resort setting
- Strong expertise in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to mentor and grow a diverse team
- Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid knowledge of safety standards and facilities regulations
- Technical certifications or a degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred
Director of Facilities Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with historic property management or preservation
- Background in managing large-scale laundry operations or similar industrial facilities
- Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in facility operations
Director of Facilities Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and operations for all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems across resort facilities, including the historic mansion and central laundry
- Lead, train, and develop the Engineering Department team to ensure exceptional performance and growth
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for equipment, guest areas, and support spaces
- Manage work orders, follow up on completion, and uphold quality and safety standards
- Direct capital improvement projects and vendor relationships, including contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor budgets, utility consumption, and create sustainability and cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership and event teams to support guest programs and special events with operational excellence
