General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of restaurant management experience in full-service, high-volume settings
- At least 2 years of multi-unit or senior operational leadership
- Proven ability to build and develop strong teams and leaders
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentorship, and people management
- Strong financial acumen, including labor management and budget oversight
- Track record working collaboratively across FOH and BOH operations
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, POS systems, and reporting tools
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience developing formal training programs or leadership structures
- Familiarity with operational systems and hospitality technologies
- Background in implementing SOPs and new communication tools
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee operational excellence, service standards, and staff culture across multiple venues
- Provide strong floor presence—particularly within the primary flagship restaurant—to ensure outstanding guest experiences
- Mentor and develop management and hourly teams, fostering growth, accountability, and succession planning
- Collaborate closely with culinary and beverage leaders to align service and hospitality execution
- Build, refine, and maintain systems, processes, and SOPs to support organizational growth and guest satisfaction
- Analyze financial performance, operational trends, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and sustainability
