Our client, a stable and growth-oriented independent community bank headquartered in western PA, is seeking a strategic and driven Controller to join its leadership team. This role offers a clear and intentional path to Chief Financial Officer within 18–24 months. Ideal for a banking or financial services professional who combines strong technical expertise with proactive leadership and a desire to help guide an institution through continued transformation. This position is 100% onsite.
What’s Offered:
- Base salary targeting $115,000–$132,000
- Annual bonus

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance within a banking environment
- Lead and develop a small accounting team (3 team members)
- Partner with executive leadership and prepare board-level financial materials
- Support strategic initiatives and operational improvements
- Serve as liaison for audits and regulatory reporting
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in banking or financial services
- Strong GAAP and regulatory knowledge
- Leadership capability with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
- Executive presence and communication skills appropriate for board interaction
- Interest in advancing into a CFO role
- Fiserv Premier experience a plus
