Site Safety Representative – San Francisco, CA
A leading construction group delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Bay Area is seeking a site safety representative to play a key role in the success and safety of a major pump station project with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Site Safety Representative Requirements & Qualifications
- 5 years of construction project safety management experience on similar projects, or CSP with experience in construction-related roles
- Formal, documented safety training per CAL/OSHA or other state regulations, including:
–
OSHA 30 or OSHA 500
– Fall protection
– Material handling
– Confined space
- First Aid/CPR certification within the past 2 years
- Trained and experienced in the hazards and complexity of pump station or utility infrastructure projects
Site Safety Representative Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of active field work areas, monitoring site conditions and evaluating employee work practices
- Document deficiencies and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment
- Attend required meetings with city and agency representatives, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Lead “toolbox” safety talks and facilitate monthly safety committee meetings in accordance with CAL/OSHA standards
- Develop and enforce health and safety plans as required by project scope, including task-specific safety protocols
- Adapt safety controls and procedures in response to evolving site conditions and project requirements
