Events Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing events, conferences, live production, or executive summits
- Proven end-to-end ownership of events with measurable responsibility for outcomes
- Experience managing vendor and supplier relationships
- Strong multi-stakeholder coordination skills including sponsors and external partners
- Proficiency with at least one project management platform (Asana, Monday.com, Notion, or similar)
- CRM proficiency (Zoho or similar)
- Ability to report into and work closely with senior leadership
- Evidence of proactive problem-solving and independent ownership
- Stable career progression with long-term tenure in prior roles
Events Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- 4–7 years of hands-on event management experience
- Previous ownership of executive-level conferences or summits
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Experience working in a growth-oriented, founder-led environment
- Budget management and vendor negotiation expertise
Events Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Own the planning and delivery of approximately 15 executive leadership summits annually across the U.S.
- Manage all aspects of event execution including venues, vendors, sponsors, budgets, logistics, and attendee experience
- Coordinate shipping, setup, breakdown, signage, and event materials
- Oversee RSVP tracking, attendance campaigns, and registration processes
- Serve as the operational lead on event days, resolving issues in real time
- Collaborate with Sales, Editorial, and Digital Marketing teams
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and detailed event reporting
- Travel as needed for on-site event execution
