A premier luxury hotel in the heart of Capitol Hill is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team. This role is ideal for a passionate, experienced culinary professional who thrives in both high-volume hotel operations and upscale, chef-driven restaurant environments, including a full-service bistro.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations across multiple outlets, including a hotel restaurant, bar, and banquet service.
- Lead, train, and inspire kitchen staff to maintain high culinary and service standards.
- Collaborate on menu development, ensuring seasonal creativity, quality, and consistency across all food offerings.
- Oversee inventory management, food cost control, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Support banquet and event operations, ensuring seamless execution of private dining, corporate events, and large-scale functions.
- Maintain a positive, professional kitchen culture that encourages growth, collaboration, and excellence.
Ideal Background
- Proven Executive Sous Chef experience in a luxury hotel or high-volume fine dining environment.
- Strong background in bistro-style or upscale restaurant operations.
- Experience managing banquet and event catering operations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
- Solid understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
- Passion for culinary excellence, innovation, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000– $85,000
