Litigation Associate Attorney Benefits & Compensation

Litigation Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Bar license in good standing
- 3–6 years of commercial litigation experience
- Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities while working collaboratively within a team
- Experience handling all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience drafting discovery, motions, and dispositive motions
- Experience conducting and defending depositions
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Strong academic credentials
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable appearing in court and advocating on behalf of clients
- Ability to work full-time in the Memphis office
Litigation Associate Attorney Background & Skills
- Commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Defense-side litigation experience
- Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions
- Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Collaborative approach and desire to build a long-term career with the firm
Litigation Associate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and support commercial litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
- Assist with case management from inception through resolution
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm's litigation practice
- Provide practical legal guidance and strategic support to clients
