A fast-casual café specializing in sandwiches, grain bowls, and avocado toasts is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team. We have a hardworking, talented staff and are looking for someone highly organized and hands-on to help oversee daily operations, streamline kitchen workflow, and support the Head Chef. This role works both on the line and in a leadership capacity, taking charge of the kitchen when the Head Chef is off.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, and highly seasonal environment.

- 50 hour work week during busy season/ 30-40 hour work week during slower months

Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen leadership experience (café, fast-casual, or high-volume concepts preferred)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and organize a team in a positive, professional manner
- Experience with ordering, inventory, kitchen organization, and maintaining food quality
- Hands-on line experience: cooking, expediting, prep, and assembling orders
- Adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in fast-casual, café, or daytime concept kitchens
- Familiarity with high-volume, weather- or seasonally-driven operations
- Strong organizational skills to support evolving kitchen systems
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative, positive kitchen culture
