Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality execution
- Work directly on the line during service and lead by example in a hands-on capacity
- Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, prep organization, and service execution
- Ensure consistency, timing, and plating standards during high-volume service
- Oversee inventory, ordering support, and kitchen organization
- Maintain food cost awareness, waste control, and proper product utilization
Sous Chef Requirements:
- 2–5+ years of Sous Chef or strong Kitchen Lead experience in an upscale or elevated restaurant
- Experience in chef-driven or independent restaurant groups strongly preferred
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the line during service
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, prep systems, and service flow
- Ability to stay calm and effective during high-volume, high-pressure service
- Strong organizational and communication skills
