Senior Real Estate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate law
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing abilities
- Demonstrated practical experience in case management
- Admission to the Florida State Bar
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Senior Real Estate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to investment, portfolio oversight, property management, leasing, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance teams for a net lease portfolio
- Negotiate and draft letters of intent, commercial lease agreements, amendments, and addenda for a range of tenants including national retail and shopping center clients
- Prepare license agreements, access agreements, marketing agreements, service contracts, management agreements, and other legal documents
- Draft purchase and sale agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, and construction documents; perform due diligence and coordinate closings for commercial real estate acquisitions
- Advise management staff on tenant operational/lease issues, landlord/tenant matters, collection activities, and operational challenges
- Conduct compliance reviews on corporate, real estate, and employment matters
