An established and leading Precision Timing & Frequency Technology Firm, are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic
The maintenance/manufacturing mechanic will be maintaining and repairing industrial machinery within a production facility, including performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, replacing worn parts, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently.
Summary:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks on building systems, including HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and fire safety equipment.
- Perform scheduled lubrication and filter changes on machinery.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspections.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals to understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery to access components for repair.
- Replace worn or damaged parts, including bearings, belts, gears, and seals.
- Perform adjustments and alignments on machinery.
- Repair and maintain pneumatic & electrical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other building components.
- Perform minor repairs including fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs, repairing minor electrical issues, patching drywall, and fixing minor carpentry issues.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Basic understanding of electrical, vacuum and pneumatic systems
