Restaurant Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
- Demonstrated success running high-volume, scratch kitchens
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development
- Full command of kitchen financials, including P&L, food cost, and labor control
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
Restaurant Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team, setting and upholding exceptional standards
- Oversee daily culinary operations, ensuring dishes are made from scratch with consistency and quality
- Manage kitchen financials, controlling costs and maximizing profitability
- Drive execution during busy service periods while maintaining composure and efficiency
- Inspire a culture of accountability, pride, and continuous improvement in the kitchen
