Our client is seeking a highly qualified Director of Banquets for their high-end boutique property in Omaha, NE. Director of Banquets Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all banquet team activities including setting big-picture and incremental goals
- Develop marketing, sales, and promotional strategies to grow the business and overall profitability including sales of meeting rooms and private dining events
- Work with the culinary team to provide exceptional cuisine in a proficient and memorable manner while consistently meeting or exceeding financial goals
- Manage the division in order to attract, retain and motivate employees including hiring, training, developing, and correcting
- Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the food and beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the asset, comply with regulations and ensure quality service
- Manage the division's annual budget, forecasts, and objectives to meet/exceed management expectations
Director of Banquets Qualifications:
- 5+ years of recent Director of Banquets experience at a full-service hotel, required
- Management experience in a Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt property, preferred
- Must have some culinary training and/or experience in a fine dining establishment
- Bachelor's degree, preferred
- Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate a large and diverse team including management-level direct reports
- Ability and desire to work a flexible schedule, as the business requires
