Foodservice Business Development Representative Requirements & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in foodservice, CPG, distribution, inside sales, or customer-facing commercial environments
- Salesforce CRM experience required
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Experience qualifying leads and moving prospects through a structured sales cycle
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with operators, distributors, and internal teams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to coordinate samples, pricing sheets, and customer follow-up activities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and sales reporting tools
- Ability to maintain accurate pipeline activity and reporting metrics
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not required

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach to inbound leads, distributor referrals, food show contacts, and marketing-generated opportunities
- Qualify prospective customers and document all sales activity within Salesforce
- Coordinate product sample requests and follow up on customer feedback
- Maintain active follow-up schedules to keep opportunities moving through the pipeline
- Prepare pricing sheets, product information, and sales support materials
- Track lead conversion activity and provide pipeline updates to leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, logistics, finance, and marketing teams
- Research operators, distributors, and regional market opportunities
- Support CRM accuracy, forecasting visibility, and reporting initiatives
- Help improve inside sales processes and lead-to-opportunity conversion rates
Foodservice Business Development Representative Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience supporting foodservice distributors or operators
- Exposure to frozen foods, CPG products, or specialty food categories
- SAP experience or familiarity with ERP systems
- Experience supporting field sales organizations
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunity potential
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment
- Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability
- Interest in long-term growth within commercial foodservice sales
