One of the top environmental engineering firms in the US is adding a Senior Civil PE Project Manager to lead complex civil engineering projects from planning through construction while serving as a technical authority, client partner, and team leader. The role blends engineering expertise, project delivery, and business development.
General Responsibilities
- Serve as Engineer of Record and oversee design for land development, water/wastewater, transportation, or environmental projects
- Lead projects from proposal and scoping through design, permitting, and construction support
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure profitability and on-time delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers; review and seal plans and reports
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external consultants (survey, geotech, environmental, utilities)
- Navigate permitting and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels
- Support business development through client relationships, proposals, and repeat work
Key Requirements
- Active FL Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 15-20+ years of civil/structural land development AND FDOT experience and expertise
- Strong background in project management and client-facing roles
- Proficiency with industry software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam)
- Experience working with permitting agencies and construction teams
- Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
