An established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Purchasing Category Specialist – Fabrication to manage sourcing, supplier performance, and cost control for fabricated and metal components. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and strong supplier execution.
Senior Purchasing Category Specialist – Fabrication | What You Will Do
- Manage sourcing strategies and supplier relationships for fabricated components
- Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate pricing and contracts
- Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support engineering and manufacturing with sourcing, part changes, and supplier coordination
- Manage cost control, change control, and supplier performance metrics
- Analyze market trends and supplier pricing
- Support LN part setup, PDR creation, and approved cost changes
- Resolve supplier issues and support production needs
Senior Purchasing Category Specialist – Fabrication | What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Experience sourcing fabricated parts, steel, or metal components
- Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
