Sr. Environmental Project Manager, PE – Newark, NJ
A respected engineering and consulting organization is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead and deliver complex projects. This is a chance to shape high-impact initiatives in a collaborative, client-focused environment while mentoring teams and driving business growth.
Environmental Project Manager Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary $150,000–$205,000

Environmental Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10–12 years of engineering experience, with at least 8 years in project management
- Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits
- Previous construction experience preferred
- Proficient with computer design and engineering software (Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, Finite Element Analysis, AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, Rocscience)
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and leadership skills
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors up to 10% of the time
Engineering Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Experience in client relationship management and business development
- Strong mentoring and coaching abilities
Engineering Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, and oversee all phases of engineering projects to ensure successful completion
- Manage and perform site investigations, evaluating surface and subsurface conditions
- Develop, maintain, and report on project schedules, budgets, and milestones
- Oversee preparation and delivery of project deliverables, proposals, and technical documents
- Lead and mentor engineering staff; supervise, train, and perform performance evaluations
- Act as primary point of contact for clients, providing project updates and ensuring satisfaction
- Support business development by identifying project opportunities and promoting company services
- Travel occasionally (up to 10%), including out-of-state visits
