Job Description
The Product Design Engineer is a key cog in both the new and existing product development and improvement efforts of the company.
Product Design Engineer Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing
- Design products and packaging with customer, quality, performance, retail space, manufacturability and cost in mind
- Create and release product and packaging specifications and updates
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
Product Design Engineer Qualifications
- Proficient in Solidworks
- Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems
- 2+ years Product and Packaging Design and Specification experience in consumer goods
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metals and plastics
- BS in Engineering or related discipline
